Word Doodlepalooza Day 5: Lindsay edition

I decided long ago never to walk in anyone’s shadow.  If I fail, if I succeed, at least I’ll live as I believe.  No matter what they take from me, they can’t take away my dignity.

Or my satellite dish.  I love that thing.

This entry is from Lindsay.  She wins the prize for sending me the nicest e-mail.  And by “nicest” I, of course, mean the one that complimented me the most.

She was kind enough to share three doodles with us…

Physical Manifestation of Happiness

Messy kitchen

Filthy countertop

Overfull sink

Dirty bowls, spoons

and pans.

Sticky fingers

Greedy roommates

Overwhelming aroma

Unbearable heat

Twenty minutes of agony.

Ding!

Your prize.

Warm, melty, gooey

chocolate chip cookie.

Pick Me!

First choice – negative.

Palms sweat.

Second choice – no again.

Pulse quickens.

Heart – beat.

Heartbeat.

Third choice – not me.

Thoughts race.

“Don’t you like me?”

“What did I do wrong?”

and “Oh my god, I’m a huge loser with

no friends

no achievements

no skills!”

Sigh.

Yup.

The job search

is just like

junior high gym class.

And I’m still getting picked last.

Update

Will I learn about

literature

fashion

politics

the human experience?

Anticipation.

Will it be

scathing

witty

meaningful

juicy

charming?

Slowest loading page ever.

Will I

sigh

fume

weep

smile?

Damn!
