I called little Pinky (aka The ACN) the other evening. As soon as her mommy answered (on speakerphone) Pinky started shaking her head to say that she didn’t want to talk to me. I talked to my sister for a few minutes and then asked Pinky if she had changed her mind. Nope.
So we went through our end of conversation ritual.
Me: What do you have to say to get off the phone?
Me: Who do you love?
Me: Awwww. Good job. Love you too, Pinky. What else do you have to say?
Me: Bye, little munchkin. Have good sleepies and a fun day tomorrow.
I’ll call you tomorrow night.
Pinky shakes her head “no.”
Me: You call me tomorrow night?
So I say “bye” and get ready to hang up when my sister says, “She’s
saying ‘no’ that she doesn’t want to get off the phone.
Then Pinky giggled at me.
So I figured we were going to talk more, but nope. She just wanted to mess with me. I kept asking her to talk to me and she kept refusing. Then her mommy “yelled” at her daddy for forgetting to do something. That made Pinky crack up with laughter.
Then her daddy was going out the door and he yelled to her mommy, “Do
you want me to pick you up a coffee?”
And Pinky said, “YEAH!!”
